Methane gas stations temporarily suspended due to cold weather

In Uzbekistan, the arrival of cold and humid air masses has sharply increased the demand for natural gas. According to the Ministry of Energy, this factor has caused a drop in pressure in the main gas pipelines.
In this regard, the energy system has prioritized the uninterrupted supply of gas to households and social sector facilities. The decision aims primarily to maintain stable gas supply for citizens and important institutions.
It was reported that from 19:00 on March 4 to 10:00 on March 5, temporary restrictions will be introduced on the operation of methane gas filling stations across the republic. This measure is short-term and aimed at stabilizing pressure in the gas supply system.
At the same time, gas supply to socially important facilities — hospitals, schools, kindergartens — as well as public transport will continue without restrictions. It is emphasized that no limitations will be imposed in these sectors.
Experts note that such temporary measures are applied during the winter season to maintain the stability of the energy system and ensure uninterrupted resource supply to the population. The increase in gas demand during cold weather conditions is natural, and the energy system seeks to respond quickly to such situations.
