The National Statistics Committee presented the next plov index for February. This analysis includes the average prices of the main products used to prepare our national dish, plov, in the regions of our country. According to statistical data, the price of plov is formed differently depending on the economic situation of the regions and the supply of products.
Tashkent city — 118,381 soums.
Republic of Karakalpakstan — 98,927 soums;
Andijan region — 106,984 soums;
Bukhara region — 109,455 soums;
Jizzakh region — 110,160 soums;
Kashkadarya region — 112,980 soums;
Navoi region — 111,508 soums;
Namangan region — 109,704 soums;
Samarkand region — 114,383 soums;
Surkhandarya region — 112,292 soums;
Syrdarya region — 105,337 soums;
Tashkent region — 113,602 soums;
Fergana region — 116,256 soums;
Khorezm region — 108,103 soums.
When calculating the plov index, specialists take into account the average market prices of meat, rice, carrots, onions, vegetable oil and other additional ingredients. This indicator plays an important role in assessing the purchasing power of the population and ensuring food security. Compared with the previous period, prices in some regions remained stable, while in others seasonal changes were observed.
