State hospitals in Uzbekistan are transitioning to a new operating mode

From April 1, 2026, an important innovation will be introduced in the activities of state medical institutions in Uzbekistan - they will gradually transition to a 5-day work week. This change is considered an important step towards streamlining work processes in the industry and increasing efficiency.

In accordance with current legislation, the main activities of hospitals and other state medical institutions will now be organized five days a week. At the same time, in order to ensure the continuity of medical services provided to the population, a special duty system will be established on weekends and holidays.

That is, on official working days, medical institutions work in the usual manner, and on weekends, doctors and medical workers work according to the duty schedule. This ensures the timely provision of necessary medical care to the population even in emergency situations.

Experts note that this innovation serves to solve several important tasks: optimizing the workload of employees, systematizing the work schedule, and further improving the quality of service. At the same time, it is emphasized that this change will not restrict the population's access to medical services.

The new system is considered the next step towards the introduction of modern management models in the field of medicine. In the future, such reforms are expected to further increase the efficiency of service provision in the industry and create conveniences for the population.
