Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the renovated State Museum of the History of the Timurids

Shawkat Mirziyoyev visited the State Museum of the History of the Timurids, which was reconstructed on the occasion of the 690th anniversary of the birth of Sahibkiran Amir Temur. This was reported by the presidential press service.
In order to widely celebrate the 690th anniversary of the birth of Amir Temur, a corresponding presidential decree was adopted on February 5 of this year.

According to the document, every year the month of April will be declared the "Amir Temur Month", and meetings, round tables and educational events will be held in educational institutions, scientific centers and neighborhoods with the participation of Timur scholars, writers and artists.

As part of the implementation of the resolution, the building of the State Museum of the History of the Timurids was reconstructed and equipped with modern equipment, using the most advanced practices of famous museums in the world. Through digitization, its capabilities have been expanded and its expositions have been updated, including with exhibits purchased from foreign collections.

In particular, the section “Buyuk Sahibkiran – Founder of the Second Renaissance” has been organized on the first floor of the museum. On the second floor, interactive expositions about the era of Amir Temur and the Temurids based on artificial intelligence and “smart” technologies are located. Also, exhibits and maps in 3D format are displayed.

The Head of State, while getting acquainted with the updated exposition of the State Museum of the History of the Timurids and the conditions created for visitors, emphasized the importance of studying, preserving and promoting the heritage of our ancestors.

“We have a history and heritage that the world admires. It is good that the museum, which contains the history of the Sahibkiran, has acquired a new look worthy of the times. Now our biggest task is to convey this to our population, young people, and foreign guests. "Where can we get the knowledge we need to build a new Uzbekistan? All of this is in the heritage left by our ancestors, in science. Therefore, we need to bring our youth, enlightened people, and our population in general to museums on a non-mahallal basis and increase their knowledge of our great history," the head of state said.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the guest book of the State Museum of the History of the Timurids during his visit.
