Rare vintage car from President's youth unveiled

During a recent visit to Tashkent’s Mirzo Ulugbek district, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s former service vehicle, a vintage "Volga" used during his tenure as district governor from 1992 to 1996, was unveiled as a historical exhibit. The presentation also featured a restoration of his original office from that era, highlighting the early stages of his administrative career and the working environment of the 1990s. In addition to these historical reflections, the President inspected current infrastructure developments and urban renewal projects aimed at modernizing the district’s landscape. This visit effectively bridged the gap between the President’s professional roots and his ongoing commitment to regional development.

On April 23, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent. During the visit, interesting aspects related to the head of state's early career were showcased.
In particular, the "Volga" service vehicle used by the President during his tenure as the district khokim (governor) from 1992 to 1996 was presented to the public. Currently, this vehicle is being carefully preserved as a historical exhibit.

Additionally, a restored historical office reflecting the working environment of those years became a focal point of interest. This vividly demonstrated the connection between the past and the present during the visit.
As part of the visit, the head of state is also closely inspecting the activities of the district administration, ongoing construction and landscaping efforts in the area, as well as projects being implemented for infrastructure development.
