Uzhydromet issues weather forecast for April 25–26

Uzhydromet reports that Uzbekistan will experience mostly dry and warm weather this weekend, with temperatures peaking between 28°C and 35°C on Saturday. While most regions remain sunny, brief showers and thunderstorms are forecast for parts of the Fergana Valley, Karakalpakstan, and the Tashkent region. On Sunday, a cooling trend will hit western areas like Karakalpakstan and Khorezm, while wind speeds across the country could reach 20 m/s, potentially triggering dust storms. In the capital, dry conditions on Saturday will give way to possible afternoon rain on Sunday, with daytime temperatures staying near 30°C.
Dry weather is expected to prevail in Uzbekistan on April 25 and 26. This was reported by the Center for Hydrometeorological Services (Uzhydromet).
According to the report, mostly precipitation-free weather is expected across the republic over the weekend. However, on Saturday, April 25, light short-term rain and thunderstorms may occur in some areas of the northern Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Fergana Valley. Similarly, on Sunday, April 26, scattered short-term rain and thunderstorms are possible in parts of the Tashkent region.
On Saturday, daytime temperatures will rise to 28-31 degrees Celsius, reaching 32-35 degrees in the north, south, and desert regions. On Sunday, temperatures across most provinces will remain around these levels. However, daytime temperatures will drop to 20-23 degrees in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region, and to 25-28 degrees in Bukhara and Navoiy regions.
On April 24-25 in the north and desert areas, and on April 26 across certain parts of the republic, wind speeds may increase to 15-20 m/s, with dust storms possible in some locations.
No precipitation is expected in Tashkent on Saturday. On Sunday afternoon, short-term rain and thunderstorms are possible, with wind speeds increasing up to 10-12 m/s. Over the weekend, air temperatures will hover around 27-30 degrees during the day, with nighttime temperatures mostly remaining between 14-17 degrees.
