President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Baku on May 17–18. The visit is taking place at the invitation of Ilham Aliyev.
This was reported by the press service of the Uzbek leader.
It is reported that the head of state will participate and deliver a speech at the Leaders' Summit within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum, held under the auspices of the UN. This prestigious event is dedicated to pressing issues such as sustainable urban development, construction of affordable housing, infrastructure improvement, ensuring environmental sustainability, and improving housing finance mechanisms.
During the visit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev is expected to hold meetings with a number of foreign heads of state and representatives of international organizations, as well as conduct negotiations on expanding bilateral cooperation.
This visit is significant as it once again demonstrates Uzbekistan's activity on the international stage and strengthens the country's participation in global initiatives.
