President of Uzbekistan participated in the World Urban Forum

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in the opening ceremony of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum, held in Baku under the auspices of the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat). This was reported by Uzdaily.uz reports.
At the Congress Center, the head of our state was welcomed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the Executive Director of UN-Habitat Anacláudia Rossbach. This was followed by a joint photo session of the participants.
The current forum is dedicated to the theme "Home for All: Safe and Sustainable Cities and Communities," bringing together heads of states and governments, international organizations, and development institutions from around the world.
The event's agenda includes pressing issues such as sustainable urban development, providing the population with modern and affordable housing, improving the quality of the urban environment, strengthening climate resilience, and developing transport infrastructure.
The President of Uzbekistan is scheduled to deliver a speech at the Leaders' Summit organized within the framework of the forum, where he will present national experiences and initiatives regarding urban development.
