Zelensky: Russia is preparing to send 100 thousand soldiers to Belarus

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Russian government is preparing to send a large number of troops to Belarus, which could be used to attack one of the NATO countries. He emphasized this in an interview with The Economist.

“I think that until the war comes home, no one will understand what it is. I don’t want to scare anyone. It will come. I’m just talking about the facts. Today, at a time when the world is slowly, very slowly, stopping Putin, it will come. And this is a fact,” Zelensky said.

According to Zelensky, he has received information from Ukrainian special services that Vladimir Putin is forming 10-15 divisions, numbering about 100 thousand people, which will be sent to Belarus for exercises, as was the case before the start of a full-scale war against Ukraine in 2022.

“He [Putin] says, as before, that these are exercises on the Ukrainian border. But believe me, this is preparation for a bridgehead for his offensive actions… Who told you that he would go to Ukraine? Who told you that he would not go to Lithuania, Poland?”, — Zelensky said.

“While we are [inaction], he may be preparing a bridgehead for a large number of troops and simply take this bridgehead and move in another direction.
