A 20-year-old paddler was swallowed by a whale off the coast of Chilean Patagonia, and then thrown out a few seconds later. This was reported by the Associated Press.
20-year-old Adrian Simancas was traveling with his father in a boat near the San Isidro Lighthouse in the Strait of Magellan. After a while, the whale surfaced, swallowed Adrian along with his boat, and then threw him out.
“I thought I was dead. "I thought it was going to swallow me and eat me," Adrian said.
A father, who was standing a few meters away from the incident, recorded the video and urged his son to calm down.
Adrian said that he only felt real fear after surfacing, worried that the monstrous whale would harm his father or that he himself would die in the icy water.
In early February, a shark attacked a fisherman off the coast of Hadra, Israel, but the man managed to escape. A video of the fisherman's encounter with the shark went viral. It was the first shark attack in the area in 75 years. The attack was captured on the man's GoPro camera.
