A drone crashed on the territory of an industrial enterprise in the Dzerzhinsky district of the Kaluga region, causing one of the buildings to catch fire. This was reported by Governor Vladislav Shapsha on Saturday, February 15.

Rescue teams and an emergency response team arrived at the scene. According to preliminary information, there are no victims, Shapsha said.

According to the ASTRA Telegram channel, a drone crashed into a multi-storey residential building in Volgograd. According to local residents, the area was cordoned off by security forces. According to preliminary reports, no one was injured.

Volgograd Region Governor Andrei Bocharov commented on the situation in the region. “On the night of February 15, the Russian Defense Ministry’s air defense forces repelled a large-scale drone attack on the territory of the Volgograd region. The drone was intercepted and neutralized,” the regional administration reported on its Telegram channel.

“According to preliminary data, a fire broke out on an area of ​​no more than 5 square meters as a result of debris falling on the territory of the industrial zone,” it added. The fire has been extinguished.

The head of the Saratov region, Roman Busargin, and the acting governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar, also reported that the drone attacks had been repelled.

These measures were taken "to ensure the safety of civil aircraft flights," the report said.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, 40 Ukrainian drones were intercepted and destroyed overnight by air defense systems on duty.
