The West's deception with the Minsk agreements has become a lesson for Russia, which will help it better protect its interests in the future, said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president.
Peskov answered a question about the Minsk agreements from Pavel Zarubin, a journalist on the program "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin" on the Rossiya 1 TV channel.
"If the German Chancellor, who has resigned and no longer takes responsibility for the situation, says: "We were not going to do anything, we had to stall for time," "Isn't this a fraud? In Russian, it's a lie. But this should be another lesson for us, another experience that will help us best protect our interests in the future," Peskov said.
According to him, the meeting between Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump will require special efforts in preparation, setting the agenda and initial exchanges of views at the working level.
