Kazakhstan’s First Deputy Foreign Minister Akan Rakhmetullin has commented on the crash of an unidentified drone in the West Kazakhstan Region, Tengrinews.kz reported.
Speaking to reporters at the Majilis, Rakhmetullin said the ministry would release an official statement later.
“Of course, there will be a statement, but as of now we don’t know where the drone came from or who it belongs to. Investigations are ongoing. Once we identify who launched it, concrete decisions will be made,” he said.
Another deputy minister, Alibek Kuantyrov, also confirmed the investigation: “It’s about technical details — where it came from, where it fell, and who manufactured it. Let the experts handle it. Then things will be clear,” he stated briefly.
As a reminder, debris from an unidentified UAV was found in the Zhanibek district. According to police, the object was located in a remote area, far from populated places. This is the third such incident recently in WKO: one drone fell in Taskala on March 18, and another near the village of Uyaly on February 18.
