Elephants "unraveled" during the earthquake (video)

The 5.2-magnitude earthquake that struck the US state of California on April 14 caused awe-inspiring scenes at the San Diego Zoo. In particular, the video footage recorded in the elephant enclosure shook the entire Internet.

The footage in the video shows the elephants, not being shocked by the tremors, but instead joining together and going into "crisis mode." They stood back to back, as if they were one, protected from all sides. Interestingly, the baby elephants were brought directly to the center - this confirms their innate instinct.

After the earthquake, the elephants dispersed peacefully, but the fact that they did not move away from each other - reminded of natural human care.
