US Vice President Jay Dee Vance expressed confidence in the possibility of a peaceful resolution of the war in Ukraine. He said this in Rome on April 18 during a meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giorgi Meloni.
“We believe that there is a possibility of a peaceful end to this brutal war,” Vance said. However, he did not provide specific details on this issue.
Earlier in Paris, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio also stressed the need to reach a ceasefire agreement in Ukraine as soon as possible.
“We need to determine in a few days whether or not an agreement to end this war can be reached. "If there is such an opportunity, we will participate in this process, and if not, we have other important tasks," Rubio said.
The US Secretary of State also noted that the United States has been assisting Ukraine for the past three years and is interested in a speedy end to this war.
"We want this war to end because this is not our war," Rubio said. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
