
The US White House is "almost completely out of the woods" about a new package of military aid to Ukraine, The New York Times reports, citing pro-Kiev supporters in Congress.
It turns out that European countries have also been unable to get a clear answer from the US on whether it will continue to share intelligence with Ukraine. The publication notes that recently, the White House has been "thinking more about what it can get than what it can give" in its relations with Ukraine.
A day earlier, US President Donald Trump said that he could cut off military aid to Kiev if negotiations on a peaceful resolution of the conflict fail. The State Department also said that Washington would not take the lead in efforts to resolve the conflict if both sides are not ready to cooperate.
The Economist reported that Trump's inner circle is "tired" of Europe's efforts to help Ukraine.
