
On Sunday evening, US Homeland Security Secretary Christie Noem was robbed while having lunch at a restaurant in downtown Washington, ABC News reported.

Law enforcement agencies reported that Secret Service agents, who monitor the secretary's security, reviewed camera footage from the restaurant. They showed an unidentified white man wearing a medical mask taking the minister's bag and leaving the restaurant.
What was in the bag?
The bag that was stolen contained the following items:
- Driver's license,
- Personal medications,
- Apartment key,
- Homeland Security Department access permit,
- Cosmetics,
- Blank checks,
- Approximately $3,000 in cash.
A department spokesman said the minister was carrying the money to buy dinner for his family and Easter gifts.
Noem confirms theft, suspect still missing
Christie Noem confirmed the theft to the media. According to her, no suspects have been arrested yet.

- Governor of South Dakota.
- Member of the US House of Representatives.
Currently, as Secretary of Homeland Security, she is responsible for national security, border control, immigration, counterterrorism and cybersecurity.
