Details of the meeting between Putin and the US special representative have become known

Yesterday, April 25, important talks were held in the Kremlin between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President's Special Representative Steve Witkoff. Some aspects and details of this meeting were announced by the Kremlin, RIA Novosti reports.

The meeting was also attended by Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov and Head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev.

Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov stressed that the issue of resuming direct flights between Russia and the United States was not discussed during these talks.

“No, this topic was not discussed,” Peskov said in response to a question from RIA Novosti.

According to Yuri Ushakov, the talks between Putin and Witkoff lasted three hours and were held in a “quite constructive, productive and useful spirit.” The parties mainly discussed the issue of resuming negotiations on a peaceful resolution of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

The meeting also emphasized the need for closer dialogue between Moscow and Washington on other pressing international issues. According to Ushakov, the presidential aide, Russia and the United States have decided to continue the dialogue.
