Trump told officials not to use the Signal messenger
In an interview with The Atlantic, US President Donald Trump commented on reports that two chats on the Signal messenger had been leaked.

According to the publication, the American president advised his administration employees not to use the messenger to discuss classified information.

“Maybe we should just not use Signal, okay?”, - said Donald Trump.

The US president also expressed hope that Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth would “come to his senses.” According to media reports, Hegseth discussed the US Air Force’s attack on the Houthis in a chat with his wife, brother and lawyer. At the same time, the White House denied this information.

According to sources from The New York Times, CNN and Reuters, Pete Hegseth discussed the US strikes in a Signal chat opened before his nomination was confirmed by Congress. According to reports, during the conversation, his relatives and advisers also shared flight schedules of military aircraft.

Recall that in March, it became known that Hegseth shared details of the campaign against the Houthis in Yemen with senior White House officials in a Signal chat, among whom, by chance, was The Atlantic editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg. He was accidentally added to the chat by the US President's national security adviser Michael Waltz. In the chat, American officials coordinated the military operation against the Houthis in Yemen.
