The Pakistani military has announced that it has launched a large-scale military operation against India called "Banyan-ul-Marsus" ("Fortified Wall"). This was reported by the Pakistani Geo TV channel, citing sources in the country's security agencies. Later, the official X account of the Pakistani government also confirmed the launch of this operation.
As it turned out, the Pakistani army planned to strike several strategic objects in Indian territory as part of the operation. According to Geo TV sources, the Pakistani army announced that it had destroyed a warehouse where supersonic BrahMos missiles, jointly developed by India and Russia, were stored.
The report also noted that during the operation, the Pakistani side also struck the Indian air bases of Udhampur and Pathankot, army brigade headquarters and an important military warehouse.
Such a large-scale military operation by Pakistan is being carried out in response to the attack on the country's army air bases that were hit by missile strikes from India a few hours ago. It should be noted that the Noor Khan airbase in Rawalpindi, 10 kilometers from the Pakistani capital Islamabad, was also reported to have been attacked. As a result of this attack, the country's airspace was completely closed until noon local time on May 10.
Major Indian media outlets such as the Times of India and official agencies have not yet confirmed these claims by the Pakistani side and have not issued an official comment on the incident.
This tense situation between Pakistan and India is causing serious concern in the international community. Currently, the situation in the region is being closely monitored by the media around the world. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
