British runner breaks world record in Australia
British runner William Goode has set a new world record by running 3,800 kilometres from the west coast of Australia to the famous Bondi Beach in the east. The 31-year-old athlete completed the distance in 35 days, according to the BBC.

Goode managed to run about 100 kilometres a day - the equivalent of two half marathons. He said the first nine days were tough, battling intense physical pain and mental stress. "You have to train your body and mind to cope with difficult times," he said in an interview in Bondi.

Goode's toenails rotted during the run, and he also suffered from bone pain and hallucinations on some days due to insomnia. But despite all the difficulties, he crossed the finish line in a deeply emotional state and laid flowers on Bondi Beach in memory of his late mother.

William started running marathons in 2018 after his mother Amanda died of cancer. Since then, he has been raising money through running to help cancer charities in the UK, US and Australia.

Goode also holds the record for the fastest British runner, having previously run from Los Angeles to New York in 55 days.

From the editorial staff of Zamin.uz:
Sports are not only a physical challenge, but also require mental fortitude and dedication to a noble cause. William Goode's run was one of those true life lessons. What would you have learned from such a strong-willed person?
