Russian drone threat grows again as new missiles rain down on Kharkiv
On the night of May 22, Russian troops launched another missile attack on the Kholodnogorsk district of Kharkiv. As a result of the attack, a powerful explosion occurred in the city and at least eight private houses were damaged. This was reported by the mayor of the city, Igor Terekhov, on his Telegram page.

Although it was initially reported that only one person was injured, Terekhov later reported that two citizens were in a state of severe stress and received medical assistance.

Against the background of these attacks, the Ukrainian armed forces note the active concentration of Russian troops on the border with the Kharkiv region. According to the information provided by the chief of staff of the 13th rapid response brigade "Charter" to the "Suspilne" TV channel, this indicates that Russia is preparing for a large-scale attack.

“The Russians usually use artillery, drones, heavy equipment and infantry in their attacks. They try to use diversionary tactics in one direction and then launch the main attack from another,” the Ukrainian officer said.

Currently, the number of long-range drones with fiber optics is increasing sharply, especially from Russia. Their flight range reaches 15-30 kilometers, and this is a new dangerous challenge for Ukraine. It is unlikely that such drones will be destroyed by electronic warfare systems, Pomakhaybus said. Nevertheless, Ukraine is developing effective methods of combating them.

The Zamin.uz editorial team will continue to closely monitor the developments on the front line and new threats. Do you think the situation in Kharkiv could become even more tense?
