Famous entrepreneur Elon Musk stated that he faced a number of difficulties while working with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) during the administration of former U.S. President Donald Trump. He spoke about this in an interview with CBS News.
“It’s a bit hard for me to talk about this in an interview, because my words often cause debates. I felt like a person leaning against a wall: I don’t want to criticize the administration, but I’m also not ready to take responsibility for every decision they make. That’s a very uncomfortable situation,” said Musk.
According to him, while he generally supports the Trump team’s overall policy, disagreements did arise on certain issues. In particular, he cited the bill to reduce government spending, which Trump described as a “big and beautiful law.”
“I think the bill can be big, it can be beautiful, but having both at the same time is difficult. That’s my personal opinion,” Musk said.
Earlier this week, he announced on social media platform X that his role as a special government advisor is coming to an end, but expressed confidence that DOGE’s role will strengthen in the future. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
