A historic blow from Ukraine: How was Operation Pautina carried out?
Details of the special operation called "Pautina" carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and which aroused great interest in the world community have been revealed. This operation, which was previously kept secret from the general public, was aimed at inflicting significant damage on Russian military aviation. The Ukrainian side announced in an official statement that this mission was successfully completed.

According to the report of the Security Service of Ukraine, as a result of this large-scale and extremely complex operation, 34 percent of the aircraft located at the most important strategic air bases of Russia were destroyed. According to estimates, the total value of the destroyed military aviation equipment is equal to 7 billion US dollars. This figure shows how extensive and serious the operation "Pautina" was.

Along with the exact details of this operation, a photo of the head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Malyuk with a diagram of the "Pautina" operation was also circulated. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with the head of the SBU and listened to the results and detailed reports of this large-scale special operation. Zelensky highly appreciated the results of this operation and expressed confidence that it would be included in world history textbooks.

President Zelensky noted that more than a year and a half had been spent planning and implementing this special operation. To be precise, 1 year, 6 months and 9 days had passed from the day the initial plan of the operation was drawn up to its completion. “This is the longest and most successful operation that Ukraine has ever independently planned and implemented,” Zelensky noted in his address.

A total of 117 special FPV drones were used during the operation. There were the same number of operators who controlled each of these drones. According to the president, to carry out this operation, a special unit of the Ukrainian Security Service also entered Russian territory and established a special office there. The most interesting and at the same time one of the most unexpected details was that this “office” was located next to the buildings of the Federal Security Service of Russia.

As part of this special operation, large-scale drone attacks were carried out on June 1 on military airfields located in several regions of Russia - Murmansk, Irkutsk, Ryazan and Ivanovo regions. Ukrainian media also called these drone attacks the “Web” special operation.

During the attacks, FPV drones carried out precise strikes on the military airfields “Dyagilevo”, “Olenya”, “Belaya” and “Ivanovo”. These drones were launched from trucks parked on the roads near the airfields, and this plan was an unexpected blow to the Russian military command. As a result, 41 important military aircraft of the Russian strategic aviation were burned, including strategic bombers such as the A-50, Tu-95 and Tu-22M3.

The Russian Defense Ministry was also forced to acknowledge this incident. The Russian military confirmed that Ukraine had indeed carried out attacks on military airfields in several regions. However, according to their information, only at airfields in the Murmansk and Irkutsk regions "some aircraft were damaged." In other regions, Russian officials noted, "all terrorist attacks were successfully repelled." The Russian side also reported that there were no casualties among the military or civilians in these attacks.

The Ukrainian security service considers this operation an important step in self-defense and will continue to demonstrate this to the world. "We will use all means to defend ourselves and our homeland. Russia must understand the need to end this war," Zelensky said.

This incident has caused widespread discussion around the world and is being assessed differently by military experts. Some experts consider this a strategic victory for the Ukrainian side, while others emphasize that this attack will not seriously affect Russia's military capabilities. However, one thing is certain: this mission will go down in history as one of the turning points in the Ukrainian-Russian conflict. Ukraine has once again demonstrated its defensive capabilities to the world, and the international community has recognized this.
