Top countries for rest, happiness, and safety announced
The latest comprehensive analysis of how well work-life balance is maintained around the world has been published. The international platform Remote prepared a special ranking based on labor conditions, social protection, and quality of life in 60 countries with the largest economies.

The study analyzed indicators such as the number of paid vacation days, duration of maternity leave, minimum wage, quality of medical services, public safety, and the happiness level of the population. Each factor was considered in terms of its importance for organizing a stable, healthy, and productive life for workers.

Ranking leader — New Zealand

According to the analysis results, New Zealand was named the most favorable country for work-life balance in 2025. Employees in this country can benefit from 32 days of paid vacation per year and up to 26 weeks of maternity leave. Additionally, it has a high level of safety and comprehensive, high-quality healthcare.

Ireland and Belgium in the top three

Ireland took second place — it has a well-developed universal healthcare system and relatively high minimum wages. Belgium ranked third. It is considered one of the highest-paying countries in Europe. Social guarantees and opportunities for workers were also rated highly.

European countries lead the way

Seven European countries made it into the top ten. These include Germany, Norway, Denmark, Spain, and Finland, which are known for their strong social protection systems. Canada and Australia were also rated as worker-friendly countries.

CIS country results

Interestingly, Russia ranked 43rd, Kazakhstan 46th, and Ukraine 37th. It was noted that these countries face challenges in labor conditions and social protection. Unfortunately, Uzbekistan was not included in the ranking.

In conclusion

The study gives a clear picture of the conditions created for human resources in the global production and service sectors. Lifestyle, job stability, vacation opportunities, and healthcare systems demonstrate how much care each country provides for its citizens’ well-being.

Such rankings should be seen not only by the international community but also by national leaders as a serious signal. After all, the happiness and safety of workers are the foundation of any development.
