Even relatively calm days in the Gaza Strip can end in tragedy for children. During an airstrike on northern Gaza, 14-year-old Musab Dibs suffered severe injuries and has remained in critical condition in the hospital ever since.
The tragedy occurred in early May near a family tent in Gaza City. As a result of the bomb explosion, several family members were injured, but Musab was the most severely affected — fragments that hit his head left him completely paralyzed.
According to doctors, the boy's condition is extremely serious, and in order for him to survive, continuous medical care and specialized treatment are required. However, due to the blockade in Gaza, there are no necessary medications or medical equipment available to provide this care.
Musab’s fate stands as yet another stark example of the hardships and tragic outcomes civilians in Gaza — especially children — are facing. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
