Israel does not want peace — Turkey made a statement about the genocide in Gaza
At the emergency meeting of the UN Security Council dedicated to the discussion of the humanitarian disaster in Gaza, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan made a harsh and direct statement. In his speech, he described Israel’s actions aimed at destroying the Palestinian people as an ongoing genocide and accused the international community of turning a blind eye to it, reported aa.com.tr.

From the beginning of his speech, Fidan criticized Israel, stating: “Israel does not want peace. Israel does not want stability.” Speaking about the suffering of civilians in the Gaza Strip, he emphasized that more than 2 million people are in extremely dire conditions, facing mass displacement, hunger, lack of water, and constant airstrikes.

According to the minister, Israel deliberately blocks humanitarian aid every day and destroys civilians at food and water distribution points established purely for humanitarian purposes. He pointed out that children are being killed while trying to get water, and mothers are being killed while searching for food for their children.

“Hunger has today become a weapon of war. All principles of international humanitarian law are being grossly violated. Tell me, how is this compatible with humanity?” he said. In Fidan’s statement, it is noted that the world is once again witnessing the emergence of concentration camps, and Palestine has become a victim of total annihilation.

He also added: “Israel’s war machine is fueled by hatred, impunity, and unconditional support from certain circles.”

Hakan Fidan stated that avoiding talk about genocide is not human behavior and that the global community must take decisive steps to stop the tragedy in Gaza. “This is not just Gaza’s test, it is a test for all humanity,” said Turkey’s Foreign Minister.

Now all eyes are on the Security Council — time will show what practical outcome these statements will bring.
