Hamas presents new demands for the Gaza sector agreement

The Palestinian Hamas movement has refused to accept the agreement proposed by mediators to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip and release the hostages. This was reported by Reuters.

Hamas is proposing to improve this agreement. The Palestinian side is also demanding new mechanisms for a more logical and effective prisoner exchange. Among the demands for Israel is a guarantee to cease military actions.

According to sources from Reuters, Hamas has proposed adding a clause that would prevent the resumption of war with Israel if no agreement is reached within 60 days of the ceasefire. This would also ensure continuous humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. Hamas is also demanding that the Rafah crossing point operate continuously in both directions.

On July 6, under the mediation of Egypt, Qatar, and the United States, Hamas and Israel resumed negotiations in Doha on ceasefire and hostage release. However, the two sides have not yet agreed on all points. If an agreement is reached, they will attempt to resolve mutual conflicts and issues, meaning they will try to end criticism, disputes, and contradictions from both sides.
