Chihuahua Saves Owner's Life: It Detected Heart Attack Symptoms First — the Dog!

In the U.S. state of Georgia, a 63-year-old man named Andrew Kuzik survived thanks to his dog — a chihuahua named Champ. According to Pravilamag, despite being born with a disability — missing both front legs — Champ has played a life-saving role for his owner twice.

According to Andrew, he was watching TV on the couch as usual when Champ approached him, placed his head under his arm near the heart, and made a sound he had never heard from the dog before. Right after that, Andrew felt chest pain and, taking it seriously, decided to go to the hospital.

He underwent an emergency operation. During the procedure, his heart stopped twice. However, the doctors managed to intervene in time and bring him back to life.

— "I know for sure that if it weren't for Champ, I wouldn't be alive right now," said Andrew Kuzik.

This was not Champ's only heroic act. According to Kuzik, years ago the dog also sensed a brain tumor. After Champ’s strange behavior, Andrew underwent a medical checkup and was diagnosed with cancer, for which he is currently receiving treatment.

Champ was abandoned by previous owners because of his birth defect. But Kuzik adopted him — along with five more homeless chihuahuas.

— "I care deeply about abandoned dogs, especially chihuahuas. Even though they are known for being loud, they have very sensitive and loyal hearts," he said.

Meanwhile, in Switzerland, another chihuahua saved a tourist who had fallen into a glacier crevasse. This small-bodied breed once again proved to be not only loyal but also incredibly intuitive friends to humans.
