The heads of state of the United States and Russia — Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin — will hold their long-awaited important meeting on August 15 this year in the city of Anchorage, Alaska. This was officially announced by the White House.
According to the information, on Friday President Donald Trump will personally travel to Alaska to meet in Anchorage with Russian President Vladimir Putin for bilateral talks. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt emphasized that the American leader has made a firm decision “to put an end to the military actions in Ukraine and achieve peace” and is working seriously in this direction.
The city of Anchorage is not only the largest population center in the state of Alaska, but also one of its strategically important locations. Due to its geographical position, it is known as a convenient venue for numerous diplomatic and economic negotiations between the United States and Asia.
It is expected that at this meeting the two heads of state will discuss not only the issue of resolving the conflict around Ukraine, but also ways to strengthen global security, economic cooperation, and the development of strategic relations.
