A Chinese parrot named Syaogui has broken a world record in quickly recognizing colors. According to the Guinness World Records, it correctly identified 10 different colors in just 33.5 seconds, reports Peopletalk.
In the fascinating test, the bird was presented with 10 small plastic containers of one color and 10 straw balls of another. Its task was to pick up the balls and place them in the matching basket.
Syaogui happily began the challenge, picking up the balls one by one and putting them into the correct baskets. The most remarkable detail was that it could even distinguish between light and dark shades of pink: although it made a mistake at first, it quickly noticed and corrected it.
It turned out that this rare ability appeared in Syaogui as early as its chickhood. Its owner noticed its interest in colorful toys and gradually trained it to differentiate colors.
