In the Spanish city of Los Palacios y Villafranca, a male customer got angry at restaurant staff for not bringing him mayonnaise and set the establishment on fire. This was reported by Pravilamag.
According to reports, the incident took place last Wednesday. A 50-year-old man, whose identity has not been disclosed, came to a local eatery with his son and ordered two sandwiches. Surveillance footage shows that he asked a waiter for extra mayonnaise, but the employee could not fulfill his request because the sauce stock had already run out. Then the customer asked another waiter the same thing, but again received a negative answer.
A little later, the man stood up, left the place, and returned with a canister filled with gasoline. He once again asked about the sauce, and after receiving a refusal, poured the flammable liquid on the bar counter and set it on fire.
At the time of the incident, the café was full of people, but the guests, upon seeing the flames, quickly ran outside. The staff, meanwhile, managed to contain the fire using extinguishers. As a result, no one was injured, and the material damage was estimated at about 9,500 dollars.
After the incident, the man tried to flee the scene, but he was soon detained by the police. It was revealed that during the fire he had seriously injured his left hand.
