German Chancellor: Putin and Zelenskyy meeting will not take place

A meeting between the leaders of Russia and Ukraine, Vladimir Putin, and Volodymyr Zelenskyy, cannot take place. German Chancellor Friedrich Mers announced this in a statement.

"Of course, there will be no meeting between Zelenskyy and Putin, as there was a dialogue between President Donald Trump and President Putin last week," Mers said during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.

The Chancellor did not comment further on this issue. However, his words caused great discussion in the international arena.
