Russia has rejected proposals to deploy foreign troops in Ukraine. According to presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Ukraine’s security cannot be guaranteed by European or American forces.
The statement came after a summit in Paris, where 26 countries declared readiness to send troops to Ukraine by land, sea, or air once the war ends. US President Donald Trump said that support would most likely come in the form of air assistance.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stressed that the main goal is to stop the war and then strengthen security guarantees.
Meanwhile, Russia continues its attacks. In northern Ukraine, two people clearing mines were killed. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said Russia cannot interfere in other countries’ decisions to send troops to Ukraine.
