A very difficult trial has concluded in the Spanish city of Uelva. A harsh verdict was issued against a children's football coach accused of violence against minors.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the individual had been in custody since January 2023. According to the court's decision, he was sentenced to 60 years and 9 months in prison.
During the investigation, it was established that the coach, using his professional position and the vulnerability of the children, committed a criminal act against 21 minors. In total, he was found guilty in 31 cases.
At the same time, in addition to imprisonment, he was subjected to a number of restrictions. In particular, the convict is not allowed to approach victims at a distance of more than 200 meters for five years after release. In addition, it was forbidden for life to work as a coach or instructor at any sporting events in which minors participate.
This verdict caused a great stir in the Spanish public and fueled discussions about the need for stricter oversight in ensuring children's safety.
