24 officials arrested in Kyrgyzstan on suspicion of smuggling

Twenty-four officials were arrested in Kyrgyzstan in one day, according to @Sputnik_Kyrgyzstan. They are suspected of involvement in smuggling.

According to reports, the head of the State Committee for National Security, Kamchibek Tashiev, ordered the arrest of these individuals in the same room where the meeting was taking place.

Among the detainees are employees of the Ministry of Transport, the Phytosanitary Service, the Tax Committee, and the border service. They are suspected of involvement in smuggling schemes at the Chaldovar checkpoint.
