Fuel shortage in Russia shuts down 360 gas stations

In Russia, due to fuel shortages, 360 gas stations across the country have stopped operating. This was reported by local media.

According to reports, the government has extended the ban on gasoline exports until the end of 2025. In addition, restrictions remain on the export of diesel fuel for companies that do not produce oil. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak emphasized that this decision is aimed at providing the domestic market with additional fuel supplies.

The head of annexed Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, addressed the population in a video message, acknowledging the problem and asking local residents and tourists to be patient. According to him, the issue with AI-92 gasoline is expected to be resolved within two weeks, while the problem with AI-95 gasoline should be solved in two days.

According to “Izvestia,” supply disruptions are observed in Moscow and the Moscow region, Belgorod, Sakhalin, Primorye, and Stavropol. “Kommersant” notes that due to Ukrainian drone attacks, Russia’s oil refining volume has decreased by 10% over the past two months, which has led to a fuel shortage and the closure of 360 gas stations.
