Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko announced his desire to hold direct talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He stated this in an interview with the "Rossiya 1" TV channel.
"I want to talk to him because I have a lot to say to him. It's time to start the consultation process. "Because the Russian army has taken control of almost all major settlements on the front, and it will be very difficult to stop their movement," Lukashenko said.
According to the Belarusian leader, if Zelenskyy does not draw the right conclusions from the current situation, Ukraine risks losing its statehood altogether. "There are good proposals for resolving the conflict, which even US President Donald Trump is aware of," Lukashenko added.
It is known that after the start of Russia's military actions against Ukraine, relations between Kyiv and Minsk cooled sharply. Ukrainian officials have accused the neighboring country of creating conditions for aggression against Moscow.
