Zelenskyy suspects Hungary in drone intelligence

Kyiv suspects that Hungary may have used unmanned aerial vehicles against Ukraine for intelligence purposes. This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy after a meeting with the heads of military agencies on September 26. According to the report submitted to him, violations of Ukrainian airspace were recorded in the west of the country.

According to Zelenskyy, the incident occurred near the Ukrainian-Hungarian border, and the drones operating there could "probably belong to Hungary." According to him, according to preliminary military estimates, these drones were used to monitor industrial capacity in areas bordering Ukraine.

At the same time, Zelenskyy noted that he had instructed to conduct another thorough verification of the available information.

Recall that in May of this year, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) announced the discovery of a Hungarian military intelligence spy network in the country. This situation further exacerbated the long-standing tensions between Kyiv and Budapest.

Hungary sharply denied Zelenskyy's accusations, stating that "he is making up such things." According to Budapest, such statements from Kyiv are unfounded and aimed at artificially escalating the situation.
