On September 26, the Russian Ministry of Justice updated the register of foreign agents. Film critic Zinaida Pronchenko was also included in the new list.
According to the statement on the agency's website, Pronchenko participated in the preparation and distribution of foreign agent materials, spread “unreliable information” about the decisions and policies of the Russian government, and opposed the special operation in Ukraine. It was also confirmed that she is currently residing outside Russia.
The updated list also included media manager Demyan Kudryavsev, journalist Andrey Kalitin, Pussy Riot’s lawyer Dmitry Zakhvatov, and the independent literary award — “DAR.”
According to the Ministry of Justice, these individuals also participated in creating and distributing materials associated with foreign agents or undesirable organizations in Russia. They also spread “unfounded information” about decisions and policies adopted by Russian state bodies.
For reference, it was also noted that Zakhvatov is leading a project aimed at raising funds for Ukrainian military personnel.
