Kyrgyzstan joins the list of countries with satellite internet

SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet service has officially launched in Kyrgyzstan. On the company's interactive map, the country's status has been updated to "available."

Through this project, the Kyrgyz government plans to provide high-speed internet primarily to schools, hospitals, and remote settlements where internet infrastructure is currently unavailable.

In Central Asia, Kazakhstan was the first to launch Starlink services in August 2025. Subsequently, the system also began operating in Tajikistan. Now, Kyrgyzstan has joined the ranks of countries using satellite internet.

Previously, Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov announced that Uzbekistan plans to launch a pilot program for Starlink in 2026.
