U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance, in an interview with Fox News, expressed his opinion on Russia’s current stance. According to him, in recent weeks Russians have rejected bilateral meetings with Ukrainians, as well as trilateral talks involving President Donald Trump or other American officials.
According to Vance, Russians are losing many people and also suffering heavy casualties themselves, but they have no grounds to justify such sacrifices.
“Hundreds of people are dying, but the outcome is hardly visible. How many more soldiers is Russia ready to lose? For very small gains, how many more lives are they willing to take?” he said.
The Vice President stressed that the U.S. position remains unchanged: Washington will continue to act in the direction of peace and hopes that Russians will eventually accept reality.
