Trump: Iran has shown interest in a peace deal in Gaza

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Iran has expressed its intention to resolve the conflict in the Gaza Strip and reach a peace agreement.

Trump made this remark during a conversation with journalists at the White House. According to him, many Middle Eastern countries support the U.S.-formulated peace plan for Gaza.

“Right now everyone wants us to end this conflict. We’ve never had this level of support before. Simply put, 80 percent of the people usually don’t want to take action, but this time the situation is different,” Trump said.

According to the president, Washington has received a clear signal from Iran. “We got a very clear indication out of Tehran — they want this to end,” he added.
