YouTube has announced a new program called "Second Chance," according to the company's official blog. According to it, creators whose channels have been blocked will be able to apply for the resumption of their activities one year after the blocking.
This is not an appeal, but an initiative designed for users who have violated the rules and have exhausted the ability to appeal. Applications will be reviewed separately for each case - taking into account the blogger's previous mistakes and YouTube Community Guidelines.
If the application is accepted, the creator can create a new channel, republish previously created videos, and continue earning money. However, the program does not apply to users who have violated copyright.
According to YouTube, messages about the program will be delivered to users through YouTube Studio in the coming months. This initiative is being implemented following Google's letter to US Congressman Jim Jordan. The company plans to review its blocking policy and the reliability of the data.
