Jobs are increasing in southern Italy
In recent years, economic activity has been growing in southern regions of Italy. Many people who previously moved to the north or abroad are now returning home as job opportunities improve.

Construction and infrastructure works are expanding thanks to European Union funding. Between 2022 and 2024, the southern economy grew by 8.6%. Jobs, especially in the construction sector, are increasing.

One of the largest projects is the construction of the Messina Bridge, which will connect Sicily with mainland Italy. The project is expected to create thousands of jobs.

Experts believe that if economic growth continues in the south, people will prefer to stay in their homeland instead of moving north.
