US President Donald Trump has officially announced the start of the second phase of the peace plan in the Gaza Strip. He wrote about this on his Truth Social social media page.
Trump stated that all 20 hostages have been released. However, it is said that the bodies of the deceased citizens have not yet been returned.
"The second stage took effect immediately," the American leader wrote. According to him, this stage is aimed at ensuring stability in the region and expanding humanitarian aid.
Within the framework of the special program, efforts to continue peace negotiations, evacuate the population, and provide assistance to the victims are also expected to be intensified.
Trump had previously mediated the Gaza agreement, calling the process a "new page in the Middle East."
