US President Donald Trump arrived in Malaysia’s capital, Kuala Lumpur, on October 26. He was greeted at the airport with a red carpet and a national dance, local media reported.
After Air Force One landed, hosts holding the flags of the United States and Malaysia welcomed the President. Trump descended the aircraft stairs, warmly greeted Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, and walked past the honor guard.
At that moment, national music began to play, and dancers in traditional costumes performed. Trump raised his hands and moved slightly to the rhythm of the melody — a short but unexpected moment that drew great attention from the crowd.
The President smiled, waved to the spectators, took photos holding both nations’ flags, and then proceeded to his motorcade.
According to reports, Trump will participate in two regional summits in Asia, where meetings are planned with Chinese President Xi Jinping and other leaders. He hopes the talks will help stabilize trade relations between the two countries.
