According to reports, during the meeting in Kuala Lumpur, a delegation led by Chinese Deputy Prime Minister He Lifeng held open and productive discussions with US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Trade Representative Jameson Greer. The parties exchanged views on issues of mutually beneficial economic cooperation and trade.
The leaders of China and the United States are also scheduled to meet within the framework of the upcoming summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Organization (APEC) in South Korea in the coming days.
