US President Donald Trump issued a sharp warning to the Nigerian government. He emphasized that if the country's leadership does not stop allowing violence against the Christian population, the American government will immediately stop all aid.
"If the Nigerian government continues to turn a blind eye to the killing of Christians, it may stop US aid and send armed forces to eliminate Islamic extremists," Trump wrote in his statement.
According to him, it is time to take decisive measures to correct the "disgraceful situation" in the country. At the same time, Trump announced that he had instructed the US Department of Defense to prepare for possible military actions.
