Earthquake felt in Uzbekistan


The press service of the Republican Seismoprognostic Monitoring Center under the Ministry of Emergency Situations has issued an official statement. On November 5 of this year, at approximately 11:00, an earthquake with a magnitude of M=4.3 occurred in the Sughd region of Tajikistan.

At the epicenter, the strength of the tremors reached 5 points. The earthquake's focus was located at a depth of 12 kilometers below the surface.

The distance from Tashkent to the epicenter was 133 kilometers. It is possible that tremors from the earthquake were felt in the Syrdarya region within Uzbekistan.

In this region, the strength of the tremors measured 2-3 points. It was noted that the Syrdarya region is located 54 kilometers from the epicenter in Tajikistan.
